“Family day is a day that I'll never forget, I unfortunately had no family members come because of my father’s recent passing. Although I had no biological family there I had the Marine brothers and sisters to my left and right. Not only that but because of the wonderful and amazing volunteers from Private Peppers, not only was I able to contact my family, but it allowed me to enjoy the time I was there, help me process and grieve about my father and remind me of my life achievements and my new found purpose. Thanks to Rebecca and the amazing people from Private Peppers, one of my most dark and painful days was able to be bright as ever, reminded me that I'm never alone and the true meaning of Semper Fidelis”
