CAMPAIGN
Help us make sure no recruit feels alone
At Private Peppers, we believe that no Marine should feel alone during life’s most challenging and transformative moments. One of the most difficult seasons many recruits face is the demanding journey through recruit training, a time that tests their strength, resilience, and determination.
Our Letter Writing Campaign was created to provide encouragement, motivation, and a sense of connection to recruits who may not have consistent support from family or loved ones. Through simple handwritten letters, our community has the power to uplift spirits, boost morale, and remind these future Marines that people believe in them and are cheering them on every step of the way.
Each letter serves as a reminder that their hard work matters, their sacrifices are seen, and their commitment to serve is deeply appreciated.
By participating in this campaign, volunteers help carry out the heart of our mission — ensuring that every Marine feels supported, valued, and never forgotten during their momentous occasions. Together, we can make a lasting impact, one letter at a time.

Writing
Your
Letters
Your letters do not need to be lengthy — simple notes filled with encouragement, positivity, and kind words can make a meaningful impact and help keep recruits motivated during their time in training.
Once your letters are complete, please mail them to:
28 Hopper Ridge Road, Bluffton, SC, 29909
Letters may be sent at any time throughout the year. Recruit training is ongoing, and messages of support are always needed and deeply appreciated.
For educators who would like to incorporate this initiative into their classroom, we offer a Letter Writing Classroom Packet designed to help guide students through the process. The packet is currently tailored for elementary-aged students but can easily be adapted for older grade levels.
